CS:GO Community App
UI/UX design and motion for a community app concept built around a global gaming title.
About
CS:GO has one of the most active gaming communities in the world, but its tools for connection have always been scattered. This was a personal concept to bring it together, a dedicated app where players could connect, check in-game stats, browse the market, catch live streams, and stay on top of announcements, all in one place.
Overview
This was a personal passion project driven by being a genuine player and seeing a gap in what the community had access to. The concept was built from the ground up, starting with UI/UX research to understand how players actually move through information, then designing and animating the full app interface in Adobe Illustrator and After Effects.
The motion work brought the concept to life, showing how the app would feel in use rather than just how it looked on a static screen. Every interaction and transition was considered as part of the overall experience.
To test the concept beyond my own perspective, I shared it on Reddit. It landed well, picking up over 1,000 upvotes and sparking genuine conversation within the community. For a self-initiated project with no brief and no client, that kind of response was a good signal that the idea had legs.
