Prowl
Graphic design, video production, and product design across two seasons of a published card game under Playlogue Creations.
About
In Prowl, you manipulate a cast of animals to secure your place as the true power behind the throne. Shift allegiances, use abilities, and accuse other players across exactly five rounds per player, a tight, portable card game designed to move fast and end clean. What started as one season grew into two, with Disrupt & Conquer expanding the roster with four new clans that can be played standalone or mixed with the original four for a fresh experience every time.
Overview
My involvement grew significantly between the two seasons. For Prowl:Clans & Cunning, I joined the company and took the role of a supporting graphic designer during the Kickstarter campaign phase, contributing Kickstarter graphics, assets for the Prowl Artbook, and video production including a promotional video and a how-to-play video. It was an early look at how a board game comes together from the inside.
By Disrupt & Conquer, I was embedded across the full production. I handled graphics for the new card designs and text layouts, making sure card effects and conditions read cleanly and is intuitive for players. I was involved in parts of conceptualising the character illustrations for the new clans, helping with some visual direction of the characters, and made graphic adjustments to ensure everything sat correctly within the card layouts. The four new clan logos were designed from scratch, giving each new faction a distinct mark across all components.
Beyond the design work, I contributed to game mechanics ideation alongside the game designer and the wider Playlogue team. On the production side, I prepared all print-ready files for manufacturing and handled colour adjustments for print, making sure the finished product matched what was designed on screen.
